Ⅰ. Performance and use:
EDTMPA is a white crystalline powder with a melting point of 215-217℃, slightly soluble in water, solubility less than 5% at room temperature, soluble in ammonia.
EDTMPA has a strong ability to chelate metal ions, and the complexation constant with copper ions is the largest of all chelators including EDTA. EDTMPA is a high purity reagent and non-toxic. It can be used as a cleaning agent for semiconductor chips in the electronics industry to manufacture integrated circuits. In the pharmaceutical industry as a carrier of radioactive elements for the examination and treatment of diseases; The chelating capacity of EDTMPA is far greater than that of EDTA and DTPA, and EDTMPA can be used as a chelating agent in almost all places where EDTA is used.
