Polyacrylic acid (sodium) PAA(S)
CAS No. 9003-01-4
Structural formula
Ⅰ. Performance and use
PAA is non-toxic, easily soluble in water, and can be run under alkaline and medium concentration conditions without scaling. PAA can disperse the microcrystalline or sediment of calcium carbonate, calcium sulfate and other salts in the water without precipitation, so as to achieve scale inhibition. PAA is a commonly used dispersant, used in addition to power plants, chemical plants, fertilizer plants, oil refineries and air-conditioning systems in the circulation of cooling water system scale dispersant. Also widely used in papermaking and textile, printing and dyeing, ceramics, coatings, building materials and other industries.

Note: the company can customize polyacrylic acid with different molecular weight and solid content, such as 50% and 60%, according to customer requirements.
Ⅲ. Method of use
PAA is often used in combination with other water treatment agents. The specific formula and dosage of PAA are determined by the test according to the on-site water quality and the material of the equipment. PAA is used alone with a concentration of 1 ~ 15mg/L. When using PAA in other industries such as concrete water-reducing agent and printing and dyeing, the dosage should be determined according to the test.
Ⅳ. Packaging and storage
PAA is packaged in plastic drums of 25kg each. Stored indoors in a cool place for 12 months.
Ⅴ. Safety and protection
PAA is weak acid, pay attention to labor protection during operation, avoid contact with skin, eyes, etc., after contact, rinse with plenty of water.
